What's New (details)
As of July 6th, 2011, there is now only one application available for Pioneer Place Senior Housing Phase I and II (1928-1932 Avenue K). The existing waiting lists have been merged into one list for both buildings. Each eligible new applicant will have two opportunities for housing, regardless of whether they initially applied for Pioneer Place Phase I only, or Phase II only. If an applicant has already been offered an apartment in Phase I or Phase II, that applicant is eligible for only one more offer for housing. Pioneer Place will continue to house eligible and qualified persons at this location, and applicants can currently expect a short wait time for processing of their applications.

Plano Community Homes East Campus, located at 1608-1612 Avenue L, also has a short waiting list for efficiency apartments. Efficiency apartments are 480 square feet, with amenities such as decorative lighting throughout, built in shelving, and updated flooring and counter tops.

Ten percent of the apartments at each location of all Plano Community Homes Sponsored Properties have additional accessibility features for persons with mobility impairments who meet the eligibility requirements of the respective campus. All apartments at Pioneer Place Phase II have mobility features, regardless of floor location. These features include lowered cabinets and closet rods, additional grab bars, walk in showers, elevated toilet, and wider doorways. All locations have a very short waiting list for this particular type of apartment. If you believe you can benefit from the features of our mobility impaired units please download an application or call (972)423-6058 and ask to listen to our admission information.

Fairoaks in Denton has a short waiting list as well. Located on 1950 Lattimore Street in a quiet neighborhood, Fairoaks offers ground floor, one bedroom cottage apartments that lead to garden areas maintained by the North Texas Master Gardeners Program. Fairoaks, where you’re treated like family.
